Sunday 2nd November - walk *** – Around Felixstowe including picnic
in the Spa Gardens – Rainn early then sunny.
I had one eye on the weather as with the wind in the west I would head over
to Levington for a windsurf foil but the day started with light rain and
the wind marginal at best so I decided to wait until tomorrow with a frest
SW forecast! So after breakfast I got to do my exercises for the first time
for a few days, I then packed a picnic and as we wanted a few things from
Lidl we set off for there before realising we have to do a big shop
tomorrow so didn’t bother. We still walked past Lidl and into Langer Park
before heading to Felixstowe prom by Mannings amusements, there was a big
sea angling competition going on in flat sea conditions as the breeze was
dead offshore! It was busy along the prom with people making the most of
the sunny periods with some warm sun and fluffy white clouds passing over!
A quick spin around the pier where the large remenbrannce day poppies were
being put up, it was here we noticed that the tide was pretty low! We were
then looking for a quiet spot for lunch and found a nice place away from
the prom, up the steps near the pram walk to enjoy our picnic, it was very
pleasnt too:) Then back along the clifftop and home for a cuppa.
